How to submit
All presenters must be pre-registered for the conference.
Please note that if you wish to present a paper at the conference you must indicate this on your registration form.
For papers with multiple authors, at least one author must register after the approval of the abstract by the conference committee. Other authors are only required to register if they plan to attend the conference. Visit our Registration sections for more details on how to register to the conference.
Once completed and signed, please send your registration form along with your abstract by email to cerc_de_arheologie@yahoo.com or by fax to: [+40] 258-811412.
Paper Length
Abstracts for papers and/or poster presentations should be of approximately 200 to 250 words.
Please note that unless otherwise indicated, papers must be of such a length as can be presented and discussed within 30 minutes. Presentations should be no more than twenty minutes in length, followed by a 10 minute discussion. Needs for audio-visual equipment must be noted on the registration form.
Procedure and Deadline for Submitting Abstracts
The deadline for presenters to submit their abstracts is 31 December 2008. If you wish to present but are unable to send us your abstract by this date, please contact us in advance.
We will accept papers for presentation strictly on the basis of the quality of the abstract and its conformity to the following guidelines regarding content, format and deadline. Standards for acceptance will be the same for all abstracts submitted. The content of the paper should focus on the significance of the material or on proposed solutions to specific problems rather than on a descriptive narrative.
Presentations which do not fit into established sections are also invited. If you have questions about the appropriateness of your paper for a particular section, please contact us to discuss it.
Proposers will be notified of acceptance or rejection of their papers. If you have any questions concerning the status your paper please contact us.
ABSTRACTS FOR PRESENTERS MUST BE SUBMITTED ON OR BEFORE 31 DECEMBER 2008.

Content of Abstracts
1. The SIGNIFICANCE of the author's work should be stated explicitly.
2. CONCLUSIONS, as well as the evidence for them, should be presented clearly.
3. The TITLE should be precise and give sufficient information to allow for bibliographic indexing.
4. PREVIOUS SCHOLARSHIP on the subject, if particularly relevant as a point of departure of clarifying the advances made in the author's own work, should be cited, but bibliographical references should be kept to a minimum. All references must follow the SOCIETY FOR AMERICAN ARCHAEOLOGY STYLE GUIDE. If you require additional information on the SAA Style Guide, it can be found in the journal

5. It is understood that excavators and others engaged in research in the field during the summer cannot provide conclusions in their abstract if submitted early. Preliminary submission for reports on excavations and surveys, however, is required; submissions should be detailed and specific, and should include information on the precise objective of the project and its research design. When available, an abstract with conclusions should be submitted.
6. Time limits on all papers will be enforced. It is recommended that papers be 20-25 minutes in length, allowing an additional 5-10 minutes for discussion. (Total 30 minutes.)
FORMAT OF ABSTRACTS
2. In the case of multiple authors, list first the name of the person who will read the paper. Each member may submit an abstract of only ONE paper of which he/she is the principal author.
